Structured networking in build

Wire the home for everything, from one plan.

Today Ontron gives a per-floor Wi-Fi access-point count so the home is covered. The full structured-cabling quote — Cat6 runs counted, switch ports and the rack sized, one layout the other trades plug into — is the next build.

In short
What it does today: gives a per-floor Wi-Fi access-point count so coverage is right. Coming: place data drops and the rack, and Ontron counts the Cat6 runs, sizes the switch and rack, and prices the whole structured layout the other trades ride on. What stays yours: your switches, APs and prices.

The schedule & quote

Every run and port counted — on the roadmap.

Here's where the networking quote is headed: the layout becomes a priced schedule in your branding — outlets, cable, switch, APs, rack and termination, with your catalogue setting the prices and nothing estimated by the AI. The example below shows the finished shape; the AP count is live today, the rest is in build.

  • →Live: per-floor access-point count sized for coverage.
  • →Coming: cable runs and switch ports from the drops you place.
  • →Coming: rack sized for the kit, branded PDF on the TV in minutes.
Every assumed figure is flagged, not hidden — so you can defend the quote.

Questions integrators ask

Networking on Ontron, answered.

Does it count the cable runs?
Not yet — run lengths from the drops you place, and switch ports from the drop count, are the next build. The per-floor access-point count is what's live today.
Does it size Wi-Fi coverage?
Yes — this is the live part: Ontron works out how many access points each floor needs for coverage, and you adjust the count.
Which switches and APs?
Any in your catalogue — your kit, your prices. Today Ontron counts the access points; the full placed-and-priced schedule is coming.
Does it do the rack layout?
Rack sizing in U from the kit (patch panel, switch, router, UPS, manager) is on the roadmap, not live yet.
Does it tie into the other trades?
That's the goal — the same plan carrying CCTV, automation and AV so the network is sized for what rides on it. The access-point count is the first piece live.
